Where have the Shores been?

Busy! and that's to put it lightly. Student teaching in the Fall whipped my hiney but I loved every minute of it. Graduating college was one of the biggest highs of my life. I am so glad I went back and owe my biggest thanks to Mr.Shores for supporting my decision to do so. I'm even more thankful that he supported and encouraged my decision to enroll in grad school. Phew! Like 3 1/2 years of college, kids, and home stuff wasn't enough, now I want to add another 18 months of college, kids, home stuff, and a job. I must be crazy!!!

Enough about me, how about us? Here's a rundown:

Carson has just started baseball season again. He's not the catcher this year but he loves the sport nonetheless. He is seeing a private baseball coach to help him with some the issues he faces as a lefty in a righty dominated game. Carson also goes to Parisi Speed School at Exygon 3-4 days a week where he gets agility training. He is just about finished with CCD this year. He will make his First Communion on April 14th. I'm so proud of him. His grades have been fantastical and he has made great strides in school this year.

Alexandra (Alex) aka mini me is exactly what my mother wished upon me when she said I would have a daughter just like me some day. She is so enthusiastic about learning. She is taking computer classes, gymnastic classes, and taekwondo classes through her daycare. She is still carrying around Brown Blankey and doesn't seem to be giving it up anytime soon. She loves to play NickJr.com and DisneyJr.com. She's sassy and she talks back. She pushes us all around. She fights every morning to brush her teeth and hair. What can I say, she's hard headed just like her mom. I wouldn't trade her for the world!!!

Mr. Shores has been busy at work. It really could end there but when not working he loves (my choice of words, not his) spending time with his family. It could be that he does it for the extrinsic rewards from Mrs. Shores but we won't go there. He's planning a couple of "boys only" trips this year which he seems pretty excited about.

I'm really hoping to keep y'all updated this time but you know how life can get away from you. Here's what we are working on as a family:

Clean eating (ok that's more me than them but they have to come along for the ride because I do all the cooking Ha Ha Ha *Cruella de Ville voice)

Vegetable/Fruit Garden (Blackberries, watermelons, muskmelon (aka cantaloupes , onion, parsley, mint, tomatoes, carrots, red bell peppers, orange bell peppers, and yellow bell peppers.)

Man Eating Terrarium (yep let's see if we can get this Venus Fly Trap and Pitcher plant to grow.)

Til next time which (cross your fingers) won't be in 6+ months!!!
